Forestry Field Day is June 25, 2009

A free workshop is being held in Dubois on June 25 for landowners and resource professionals. Topics include creating a healthy forest, identification and management of insects and diseases, wildfire, and tree regeneration.  The hands-on workshop includes lunch.   RSVP no later than June 19 to the Dubois-Crowheart Conservation District at 1-307-455-3688.

WHIP signup extended

NRCS extends WHIP sign-up deadline to June 25, 2009

The Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program (WHIP) sign-up period has been extended to June 25, 2009. The WHIP is a voluntary program that provides technical and financial assistance to private and Tribal landowners for the development of high quality upland, wetland, aquatic, and other types of wildlife habitat.
