Mission Statement:  Assisting the wise use of resources to improve the quality of life and ensure the future of our communities

Goals:

  1. Provide educational programming related to soil conservation to RC&D area audiences

  2. Encourage the conservation and wise use of water resources

  3. Assist RC&D area constituencies in the development of adequate water supplies

  4. Maintain current businesses and create a business environment that attracts new businesses and entrepreneurs

  5. Seek adequate access to communication services for all citizens

  6. Provide assistance to local entities in the planning, funding, and development of community projects

  7. Encourage lifelong learning opportunities for all  citizens

  8. Assist in the development and implementation of housing programs that will provide adequate rental and ownership opportunities for all citizens

  9. Encourage a healthy citizenry and economy through prudent utilization of abundant recreational opportunities

  10. Promote tourism

  11. Enter into partnerships to enhance fish and wildlife resources in the RC&D area

  12. Enter into partnerships to assist conservation districts and other agencies with the development and implementation of environmental education programs
