Mission Statement:  The Council mission is to "help others help themselves."

Goals:  

  1. Assist conservation districts to plan and fund local projects

  2. Encourage the recycling and reuse of existing products

  3. Assist partners to develop and conserve natural resources

  4. Promote enterprise diversification on farm/ranch lands

  5. Provide assistance to Chambers of Commerce/retailers

  6. Provide assistance and support to the non-profit sector

  7. Connect communities to the non-profit sector

  8. Promote development and use of the Wyoming Community Assessment Plans

  9. Support the Emergency Management System

  10. Provide assistance to communities to address homeland security issues

  11. Maintain and improve community facilities

  12. Provide assistance to communities on recreation development infrastructure

  13. Assist counties and communities to develop Geographic Information System (GIS) resources to guide local and regional decisions

  14. Support the emergency services of the region

  15. Connect Wyoming communities with community housing needs

  16. Assist towns and cities of the BHBRC&D to develop their infrastructure

  17. Coordinate with Wind River Indian Reservation staff on projects

  18. Assist companies and communities to develop their telecommunications potential

  19. Provide community linkage to the Wyoming Business Council

  20. Develop a marketing plan to promote Council visibility to connect our customers to Council products and services

  21. Support new agricultural land development
