Yoder, Wyoming Flood Mitigation Project, Goshen County PL-566

The Preliminary Investigation Report is completed and was presented to sponsors in December 2004.  The next step would be for project sponsors to submit a request for federal assistance, so that State Conservationist can authorize the planning for the watershed plan/environmental document. Landowner access, permission, and rehabilitation agreements have been signed.  We are receiving technical assistance from our National Water Management Center, via Danny Goodwin, Groundwater Hydrologist, to install and set up a detailed groundwater monitoring system that NWC has designed for us to determine quantity, direction, timing, and effects of groundwater on community structures.

Yoder, WY Flood Mitigation Project

The monitoring well drilling is in progress with 37 wells completed with 3 left to complete.  Expected completion of wells and installation of piezometers is June, 2005.
